Worse Than the Bars (One word prompt: domesticated)

Trained
and sitting in cage,

he’s domesticated.

But
worse than the bars
that surround him

is the minimum security prison
that he’s locked himself into
from the inside

and he tossed that key
far far out of reach.

After five years in the village of Attica, all the while living in a sort of cultural exile, I can relate. This was a back-and-forth, inside looking outside looking in poem and I really liked the style, brudda. I love all you stuff, hell!

Sounds as if that prison is too good to leave!
